Thanks for the help guys, it's much appreciated.The Cummins engine id link works real well.As previously mentioned, the engine is an '88 NTC-315, out of a Volvo, so it's a replacement.Great to know when needing parts.I tried running the Pete's VIN, but nothing came back, possibly indicating that the original engine was a Cat, Det, etc.I'll call the Pete dealer and see if they'll de-cipher the VIN for me. It really needs nothing major, a lot of small stuff.I drove it home back in July, ran well, of course it was bobtailing, so who knows yet.The shifter linkage is really played out, can't grab reverse at this point.I'm having a hard time getting parts (go figure), and every time I call, the dealer has to 'pull up the micro-fiche'.As I have a M.F. Reader, does anyone know how to obtain a set of parts M.F?A service manual for it would also be a big help.E-bay has them, at about $250-300, ouch.Any ideas to share would be great, thanks. I have a 1997 cummins m11 that has a fault code reading of 141 & 143 (oil pressure sensor three wire) I have a diagram from quickserve and info from cummins on the location of the sensor, saying it is. Cummins on-highway engines consist of the N14 and M11, and the ISX, ISL and the ISM. Cummins engines are painted red from the factory. The engine and model numbers are engraved on a metallic plate located on the driver's side front cover. All Cummins serial numbers are eight numeric digits.
