I have a 17' monitor and it is barely enough to get a readable screen that does not need scrolling. Perhaps the QA people had 21' inch monitors and it never occurred to them to try it on 640x480 14'. I do not agree with your suggestion for Word 7 or RTF - how would you read Word7 on Win3.11? RTF is far too clunky, HTML is better by far, there is even Lynx (and DOSLynx) for text mode screens.
